When Gary Kasparov lost to Deep Blue, people thought it could be the end of chess. Why would humans keep playing if powerful computers could be so much better? But chess didn't die. Instead, new players learned a new way to play. They partnered with computers, learned new techniques, and improved. Chess became more popular than ever.
On a much larger scale, we have the same opportunity with AI. We can count on AI changing the world (look at the upheaval of chess rankings after the advent of computer-aided chess!), but we can also reimagine how we work. We can use AI to be more productive. Many of us will be working in jobs that don't exist today. But we can't do it if we're paralyzed by fear, uncertainty, and doubt.
